The AIDS Network values feedback from clients and members of the public in the communities we serve, including complaints. If you wish to make a formal complaint about the actions of members of The AIDS Network’s Board of Directors, please use the form below. Complaints submitted through this form will initially be received by The AIDS Network’s Executive Director who will forward the complaint to the Board Executive Committee (excluding any members of the Executive Committee involved in the complaint) for follow-up, in accordance with our Complaints Policy.

The AIDS Network respects and is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information of its employees, members, clients, volunteers, donors and other stakeholders. During the course of various projects and activities, The AIDS Network frequently gathers and utilizes personal information. There are many areas of the website do not require you to submit personal information, there are areas that will require that you submit information in order to access specific content, features, interactive tools, services, or participate in a particular activity. When you visit or submit information through our website, we want you to be confident that we have taken reasonable measures to safeguard your personal information, and that we are utilizing your personal information exclusively in ways and for purposes you understand and have consented to.

Definition of personal information:

Personal information is information that can be used to identify, distinguish or contact an individual, and can include information like opinions, beliefs or facts about, or related to the individual. Personal information can also include identifying documentation such as Social Insurance Number. When an individual uses their home contact information as their business contact information, The AIDS Network considers that contact information to be business contact information and not subject to protection as personal information.

The AIDS Network provides convenient and easy web-based ways to engage with us, including but not limited to the ability to make charitable donations to us directly, applications for membership or volunteering, signing up to receive our newsletter or submitting questions or comments through contact forms. Information voluntarily provided by users that is not personally identifiable such as comments, ideas or suggestions will not be treated as confidential, and The AIDS Network reserves the rights to disclose through any means and use for any purpose such information at its sole discretion, by providing such information to The AIDS Network you agree that no relationship has been created between The AIDS Network and you, and The AIDS Network has no obligation to you whatsoever regarding that information.

Our website uses cookies for user log-ins and sessions, cookies are not used in any areas of our website accessed by site visitors.

Analytics:

Our website utilizes a third party program (Google Analytics) to track certain user information such as the source address that a page request is coming from (i.e. your IP address), date and time of the page request, referring website (if any) and other parameters in the URL (such as search criteria). We utilize this information to better understand which areas of our website users prefer, and how users are finding our website. This information is password protected and encrypted, and is used by The AIDS Network to help optimize our website, and some information (e.g. number of unique users visiting this website over a certain period of time) for reporting purposes to our funders.

The AIDS Network collects information including personal information for the sole purposes of our own use, which can include client and volunteer management, processing donations, informational correspondence and solicitations for support. Certain information not considered personal information may be shared with our funders in the course of our reporting.
