International Overdose Awareness Day

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day, and The AIDS Network is marking the day by working with our friends in the community to hold several events acknowledging our grief, honouring those who have lost their lives to overdose, and advocating for more to be done to stop this epidemic. 

In Hamilton: 

Join us for a free community event to pay tribute to those who have been affected by overdose, raise awareness of resources in the community, reduce the stigma of drug-related death and help prevent death from overdose

Saturday, August 31st marks Brantford’s First Annual Overdose Awareness Day! Please join us at Harmony Square from 1pm-4pm for a BBQ, speakers, music, and many other activities. This event aims to bring communities together to fight the stigma and isolation often experienced by those who have been most impacted by overdose. We hope to see you there!#endoverdose
