The AIDS Network and Interval House Hamilton join community partners to host a celebration to mark International Women’s Day.
Once again, things will look a little different this year, but we are still very excited to come together to celebrate the achievements of women in our community and add our voice to the call for greater gender equity in our society.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #BreakTheBias. We are asking the community to imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality.
This online event will live-première on YouTube, as well as on Facebook. The links will be available here and at www.aidsnetwork.ca closer to the date of the event.
There will be great speakers and entertainment. All are welcome, lets celebrate together!

This year for International Women’s Day, The AIDS Network wants to celebrate the achievements of women and those who have broken down gender barriers for women in harm reduction. We will be spotlighting those who have been working in harm reduction and celebrating their successes and achievements. As part of this year’s #BreakTheBias campaign we invite you to learn more about these wonderful achievements and reach out to those you may want to work with!
Last year, our IWD event’s focus was #ChooseToChallenge.
