Help The AIDS Network make sure everyone who needs a mask has one

Update (July 20 2020), in most of the regions served by The AIDS Network, it is now mandatory to wear a face mask in most indoor spaces. It is more important than ever that we work to ensure that everyone who needs face masks has access to them.

The Public Health Agency of Canada is recommending that everyone wear non-medical face masks when physical distancing of two meters is not possible. At The AIDS Network, we know that many of the people we help are faced with challenges when it comes to being able to physically distance, and we want to make sure everyone who needs face masks has access to them. To respond to this need, we will be distributing non-medical face masks through our mobile harm reduction programs The Van (Hamilton) and The HNB Van (Haldimand, Norfolk, Brant County and Brantford).

We need your help to do it!

Donate to The AIDS Network’s Mask Drive! Are you handy with a sewing machine, or do you have access to a supply of non-medical masks? Please consider donating them to The AIDS Network so that we can make sure that people who need them can get them. Our goal is to distribute 2000 masks by July 31st

For questions, or if you want to arrange a drop-off or pickup of non-medical masks, contact James Diemert, Community Engagement Coordinator at cec@aidsnetwork.ca
