Nomvelo and Noxy of The AIDS Network in partnership with Pricilla and Amy of ACCKWA (The AIDS Committee of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo Area) invite Black women in our communities to join us online for a fun, interactive event with self-care tips and games.

Self-care goes deeper than the skin. As women, we often find ourselves in the role of care givers, caring for our families, our friend and our communities. But, for us African, Caribbean and Black women, something gets neglected too often. Lets put our self-care first. Once we know where our health stands it will be much easier to take care of all the others. Learning to nurture ourselves is the key to our successes. Self-care is not selfish. Nor is it a waste of time. The world spins deceivingly fast; if we don’t step aside and check in with ourselves every now and again, we might wake up to find we’re standing in a very different place than where we intended. Join us on Friday November 27, from 7-8pm for an interactive session in an environment that we can let our hair down and discuss our physical, spiritual, emotional and mental heath.

Participants will receive a free swag bag (safe drop-off will be coordinated via email).

To register send an email to Nomvelo at accho@aidsnetwork.ca
