Tree Planting for Overdose Awareness in Brantford

October 7, 2021

Our Haldimand, Norfolk Brant & Brantford Harm Reduction team is commemorating International Overdose Awareness Day by hosting a public tree planting in Brantford on October 13th at 11:00am. Although International Overdose Awareness Day typically falls on August 31st, the event was scheduled for the fall in order to protect the health of the trees we will be planting to memorialize those lost to overdose, and to raise awareness of the overdose crisis we continue to face. We will be planting 12 trees in a small commemoration ceremony, and invite you to join us in reflection and remembrance. We would like to thank our amazing partners at The City of Brantford for supporting this initiative.

If you would like to attend this tree-planting ceremony, please call or text our HNB Harm Reduction team at 289 439 5208 or email Anya at hrbrantford@aidsnetwork.ca for more information.
