Tree Planting to commemorate International Overdose Awareness Day

September 20, 2021

Our Haldimand, Norfolk Brant & Brantford Harm Reduction team is commemorating International Overdose Awareness Day by hosting a public tree planting in Simcoe on September 24th at 11:00am. Although International Overdose Awareness Day typically falls on August 31st, the event was scheduled for September in order to protect the health of the trees we will be planting to memorialize those lost to overdose, and to raise awareness of the overdose crisis we continue to face. We would like to thank our amazing partners at Norfolk County Forestry for supporting this initiative.

If you would like to attend this tree-planting ceremony, please call or text our HNB Harm Reduction team at 289 439 5208 or email Anya at hrbrantford@aidsnetwork.ca for more information.
