Update: The AIDS Network’s Mask Drive

May 22, 2020

We are overwhelmingly grateful for the immediate, amazing response we have had for our Mask Drive project from our friends in our communities, we have started off strong with 594 masks to distribute to people in Hamilton, Haldimand, Norfolk, Brant County and Brantford! Thank you for the amazing support to the generous folks at Q Design Centre, Grenfell Ministries and Creative Heart Space for helping our donation drive start off strong!

The Public Health Agency of Canada is recommending that everyone wear non-medical face masks when physical distancing of two meters is not possible. At The AIDS Network, we know that many of the people we help are faced with challenges when it comes to being able to physically distance, and we want to make sure everyone who needs face masks has access to them, and so we are planning to distribute masks on our mobile harm reduction services, The Van (Hamilton) and The HNB Van (Haldimand, Norfolk, Brant County and Brantford)

We are asking for your help to make this possible, if you are handy with a sewing machine or have access to a supply of non-medical face masks, please consider making a donation to The AIDS Network!
