U=U: A Community Conversation

November 18, 2020

You are invited to join us for an interactive virtual workshop U=U: A Community Conversation.

Monday, November 30th, 2:00pm-3:00pm

Zoom coordinates provided upon registration – contact Jamie at hnbregional@aidsnetwork.ca to register/RSVP

The science is clear, since 2017 it has been conclusively proven that people living with HIV who have achieved an undetectable viral load can not transmit HIV to their sexual partners. The message of U=U (Undetectable equals Untransmittable) is one of hope and empowerment for people living with HIV and is a powerful message in our HIV prevention educational efforts. Join Jamie, The AIDS Network’s Regional Health Promotion and Risk Reduction worker for Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant and Nomvelo, The AIDS Network’s African Caribbean Black Community Outreach Worker for an engaging conversation centering this message, as well as answering any questions you may have about this incredible game-changing message!

This workshop will take place virtually through Zoom, and will include discussion of U=U, HIV basics, and HIV prevention, with a lot of time put aside for Q&A and participant-guided discussion. This workshop is geared towards students and the general public. To register, email Jamie at hnbregional@aidsnetwork.ca – Zoom coordinates will be provided upon registration
