I Walk to support people living with HIV

August 31, 2020

Through treatment, people living with HIV can and deserve to live long, healthy lives.

Although HIV no longer needs to be life-limiting, an HIV-positive diagnosis can complicate and greatly a persons life. HIV stigma fuels this epidemic, and people living with HIV continue to face discrimination, criminalization and other challenges that can make it much harder to get well and stay well. The AIDS Network’s support programs help people living with HIV in the regions of Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant to get connected and stay connected to care, while holistically supporting people to meet their basic needs and improve their lives through programs like food security, transportation assistance, social support groups, individual counselling and case management.

The AIDS Network relies on the support of our friends and allies in the communities we serve to deliver some of our most crucial programs and services. Show your support today, and help us to continue our mission to respond to the impact of HIV. We imagine a world without new infection, and long, healthy lives for people living with, affected by and vulnerable to HIV
