We’re going virtual! Introducing Walk Away from Stigma Week

September 1, 2020

Announcing The AIDS Network’s first-ever online Walk Away from Stigma awareness and fundraiser campaign!

For over 20 years The AIDS Network has held an annual Walk event in September. As an organization that takes the health and wellness of our communities very seriously, this year we will be holding our walk online, using social media to help spread awareness of our agencies causes, and to help raise funds so that we can keep delivering our most crucial programs and services in Hamilton, Halton, Haldimand, Norfolk and Brant.

It’s easier than ever to participate in this years Walk campaign.

During the week of September 20th to 27th, we are asking our friends and allies in the communities we serve to take a selfie while doing an outdoor activity and share it to your social media. Whether you want to run a marathon or take a leisurely trip around the block is up to you, anybody can participate and set their own pace!

Along with your selfie, let your friends know that you are participating in our walk by using our hashtag #WalkAwayFromStigma , and including a link to one of our causes. Don’t know what to write in your post? We’ve got you covered! Check out our handy list of pre-made Walk posts!

It’s that easy to be a virtual walker!

Now more than ever we need your help to keep delivering programs and services to some of our communities most vulnerable members. Make a donation to our Walk campaign today by visiting our support page.

Join us in making this years walk a memorable and successful one. While its important to stay physically apart, we can still come together and Walk Away from Stigma!
