December 1st is World AIDS Day, and The AIDS Network is proud to continue our annual tradition of holding a vigil service in collaboration with Christ’s Church Cathedral to honour the people in our communities living with HIV and to memorialize those we have lost.
Like many things this year, our vigil service will look different than it has in the past. We invite our friends, family and allies in the community to join us for our annual (and second online) vigil service which will stream on our Youtube channel and will be available on this page at 6:00pm on Wednesday, December 1st.
We are thankful to everyone who has come together to make this important event possible in the unprecedented times of the Covid 19 pandemic, with special thanks to our vigil participants, the Anglican Diocese of Niagara and the videography team at Piña Productions.
Though we are unable to gather in person, we look forward to coming together virtually with our communities this World AIDS Day.
If you missed it last year, you can also watch last year’s online vigil service below, lead by Christ’s Church Cathedral’s Rector in the Interim The Rev’d Canon R. Terry DeForest, with words from The AIDS Network’s Executive Director Tim McClemont, and musical performances by Lyla Miklos and Juanita Maldonado, videography by Piña Productions.
